About the vessel

Built 1987, Ver La Reve, Apeldoorn, Holland, building number 1. Building material Ferro cement with a LOA: 16,73 meters and BOA: 5,15 meters.

Maximum draught is: 1,8 meters and tonnage is 41 BT / 12 NT.

Engines and engine room

Main engine is a reliable DAF 575, 6-cylinder diesel, 103 hp. Aux engine is a Vetus with an 11 KW generator driven by a Mitsubishi diesel from 2005 with only 63 hrs of use. Fuel consumption at 6,3 – 6,4 knots is only about 6 liters / hour. Top speed is about 7 knots. The engine room is equipped with a workbench and a fixed drilling stand and a compressor the engine room also has fixed camera monitoring from the wheelhouse.

The diesel is stored in 4 tanks with a total capacity of 3000 liters and the potable water capacity of 2000 liters is divided in 2 tanks. A new sewage tank was installed in 2008 and 2 new start batteries in 2010. The consumption batteries (Gel 500ah) are from 2011. Wheelhouse and additional equipment; Observator magnetic compass, Sailor RT 2048 VHF, Coursemaster 550 autopilot, Target Navtex, Garmin GPS128 Navigator, Apelco 265 fish-finder echo sounder and a Simrad radar with 12’ screen. 1000W inverter and a XM 6 person liferaft (last inspected 2007 at Gothenburghs liferaft services). The vessel also includes an alarm system, which can easily be connected to an alarm central.

Wheelhouse

The wheelhouse is very spacious and provides good visibility; the seats have a new cloth cover and the windows new elite insulation glass. The steering is controlled by 2 alternative sticks for comfortable navigation and screens for camera monitoring astern and for the engine room. In the aft part is a access to the vessel’s galley / mess room and WC. The galley was updated in 2007 with new appliances and finish; the flooring is of oak wood. The WC has tile flooring and a new 24v toilet. The auxiliary engine can be started from the engine room, wheelhouse and the galley.

Mess room and Galley

The mess room has an open floor plan with the galley and also has a built in dinning table that will comfortably fit up tp 6 persons.

Staterooms

Below deck in the forward part are two newly renovated staterooms, the owners stateroom all the way forward with a queen size bed and plenty of storage, electric maneuvered skylight, blinds and a home cinema system including; flat screen TV, DVD and sound system. There is also a newer laundry room with plenty of storage and a combined washer / dryer from 2009, and two closet space areas one with a warm water heater and one with tools and spar parts.

Saloon

Below deck in the aft part with stair access from the mess room / galley is the ships saloon / living room. This area together with the connecting office space and bathroom has be carefully restored and renovated to maintain the original charm and feel. All features are built in such as a: fireplace, sofa, bar, bookshelves, home theater system with 32’ LED TV and blue ray player. The wood fireplace is a Visingö with a 3-6 KW capacity. A Kabola diesel fireplace can be included in purchase if of interest, that easily can replace the wood fireplace. The vessel has a water born heating system that is either supplied from the fireplace or by the electric heating system. An air-heating pump (installed end of November 2011, with 5 years warranty) can help with heating or cooling in the summer. The bathroom was recently renovated with floor heating and a new wc and shower. This entire area is a must see.

Terrace

On top of the galley area is the ships wonderful terrace, with19 m2 of Brazilian teak flooring, the flooring has built in spotlights. The Weber grill and the teak furniture is included in the purchase.

Exterior decks

All the exteriors decks were repainted in 2011, with 3 layers of epoxy paint (antislip) A 24v anchor winch was installed 2011, that is controlled by a wired joystick. The 50- meter long, 10 mm-galvanized anchor chain is marked with different colors.

Sundry

All renovations and restorations are professionally done and well documented.

Overall Calibur is an excellent vessel with many smart solutions and is a must see. The ship was last in dry dock in May 2006 in Sjötorp, where they measured the axel and shelf.
